BUILDING EXPANSION AT APT MANUFACTURING SOLUTIONS IS FOURTH IN FIVE YEARS
HICKSVILLE—Another expansion is underway at APT Manufacturing Solution’s northwest Ohio facility; this marks their fourth expansion in only five years. APT Manufacturing Solutions continues to see its business grow as a result of the skills gap and labor shortage in advanced manufacturing.
“This next addition to our facility puts us over 75,000 square feet of engineering and production space, and is further evidence that we are embracing new business opportunities and moving full speed ahead” says Anthony Nighswander, President at APT. “It will allow us the necessary space to continue to grow. Lack of space has forced us to become creative in getting materials in the building and completed production out of the building. We are now investing in world class manufacturing and storage systems to ensure we operate in excellence and exceed expectations.”
APT was recently recognized by FANUC Robotics and Rockwell Automation because of its forward thinking and commitment to community by starting a high school training center to teach high school students manufacturing concepts. The training center, which began in 2015, has now enrolled 21 students and led many of them to careers in manufacturing. The training center is a cooperative effort between Hicksville High School, Fairview High School, and Northwest State Community College.
