APT is looking to add a key sales veteran to its leadership team. The Director of Sales will spend time getting to know APT while working with the Application Sales Engineers quoting and winning jobs, then after earning the team’s respect, will slowly begin to take over day to day direction of the team as well as the responsibility for quoting on time, winning jobs, maintaining customer satisfaction, and growing sales.
Once fully up to speed, the Director of Sales will drive sales growth and profit for APT by leading the sales team, building relationships with key customers, negotiating and winning profitable contracts from large customers, and innovating new opportunities for APT to explore. The Director of Sales oversees everything day-to-day related to sales: from generating leads all the way through the signature of the contract and the customer experience during and after the work. The Director of Sales also partners with the President to navigate the correct strategic course to keep APT focused on long term revenue opportunities by supervising the talent who will innovate and adapt services, and by maintaining an innovative and long-term-minded approach to the market and services in demand from customers.
The right candidate is someone who can lead but be humble and easy to work with or for. They also will have some knowledge or aptitude within our industry, have 1-3 years supervising sales employees, 3-5 years achieving high levels of sales goals in high dollar environments with relational contacts, possess a BA/BS in Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Business, or similar industrial field, and have a foundation of scientific or mechanical aptitude.
APT offers full medical, dental, vision, 401k with 3% salary contribution (not a match, but a straight contribution whether you contribute or not). The Director of Sales would be compensated with a “salary plus bonus” plan designed to attract a top candidate and also empower that candidate with the opportunity to achieve their financial goals.
